Pink&&Red

Today, I got my Allure in the mail, and as I was reading it, I dropped dead in front of two pictures. They had an article on Pink and Red makeup, how to wear it etc. But I just couldn't get my eyes off the editorial pictures accompanying it! I found the makeup so astounding! Now I wouldn't love to wear them out, but do not have the guts. At all.

I have sinned...

Hello :)

Now, now..this is a haul :/ 
I know I said I was doing Project 10 Pan, but my products just seem to be NEVER ENDING! Of course, I have finished about 20 skincare, haircare, body care and lip balms, but I really wanted to keep this make up related. But I am very ashamed to say that I give up. I will maybe start again later , and will keep up on the products I finish but I do not have enough self power to continue. Especially with my trip to florida coming up. :)

So all this to say I went to Duane Reade today and could not resist. I bought a blush and two nail polishes. I haven't tried to products yet, except the blush that I just applied to try out. I am about to do my nails with the nail polishes so. So swatches might come up soon.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA Happy Booster Blush in Rose

This blush is a mosaic of hearts in different shades of pink. It is gorgeous! I apply it with a SS187 due to my lack of skills in the domain of blush ( yes, I am a bit embarrassed to say so). Yet, it gives me the pretties pink flush and a very nice glow. It smells A-MA-ZING! The packaging says it's violet, I have no idea if it's true to life but I just love it. It claims to make you happier. Now, I don't think it works but then again who knows. Lastly, it's paraben free which is always a plus.

OPI The Show Must Go On

It is a shimmery bright red with red shimmer. You would think its very boring hu? Well, it isn't. It has the pretties coppery-gold duo chrome. So I guess it's more of a red with gold glitter then lol. 

OPI Bring On The Bling

This a shimmery top coat kind of nailpolish. I am really loving those at the moment. It gold with multicolored glitters. It will probably be sheer and couple of coats will be needed for it to be reasonably opaque, but I am really excited about it :)

Inspiration!

Since playing on House and Tron, Olivia Wilde has reallly been popping up pretty much everywhere. And I can see why! She's absolutely gorgeous!
She seems to always have the prettiest makeup! It ranges from pale, light reflecting eyeshadow to darker, smokier shades. Whatever she is wearing, it always looks great! Her green eyes always pop and look very smolder-y and sexy! I would love to have a little chat with her makeup artist!

Baby, it's cold outside...

So, with the cold weather settling in, I realized my little leather jacket was not going to be enough anymore. Bummer.
That said, it was a very good excuse to do some winter shopping. Plus, with the holiday sales still going, it just sounded too good to be true.

So I decided to do a little winter apparel update for the new year.

This is what I initially went out for. A coat. I have to say I am IN LOVE with it. 
Zadig&Voltaire 'Kenny' Parka

It's army style with fur on the inside. It has a MASSIVE hood that zips up almost all the way.  As it's name says, it is inspired by Kenny from South Park.

On my way home, I also stopped at Theory, when I saw they were having a 50% off sale.
I picked up a couple of things:

I fell in love with this scarf when I saw it. It's grey, with a slight khaki hue to it. It's a 100% cashmere so it's impossibly soft. It works with everything, I hardly take it off anymore.

 Last but not least. This sweater is a coraly color. It's slighly cropped ( a style I just can't get enough of!). Once again it's 100% cashmere, so it's super soft and warm. Looks great with black skinnys.

So those are so far proving themselves to be my 2011 Winter Stapples.

Favorite lipsticks :)

Now I won't do 2010 favorites like everyone else, because first of all it is way too late for that and second I switch up my makeup too much to be able to find particular products that I used more than others this year. 
That said, I will be doing a series of favorites type of products ( lipsticks, blushes, ect.) 
 On to it now:


NUDES:

CHANEL Rouge Allure in Insouciante: I have pretty pigmented and I'm not a huge fan of very nudes. I feel like they wash me out. This is more of a tawny nude and it very sheer, yet can be built up. This is why I really like it. This picture does make it look a bit pinkier than real life, it's a bit browny-er. I usually won't go nuder than that. I also really like the finish which is very satin-y and glowy.

 

 

MAC Shy Girl: This is peachy-er nude. I really like it for that barely there, but style polished look. It's a creamsheen so it's pretty moisturizing. I find it can look a bit uneven if your lips aren't smooth though.

  

 PEACHES:

Revlon Colorburst in Peaches: Revlon Colorburst are probably my favorite kind of lipstick. The colors are absolutely gorgeous, the stay on a long time, they are a tiny bit drying, I completely over look that. This one is Peaches, is great is a very subtle orange-y pink that is very easy to wear and really wakes up the complexion.

 

PINKS:

MAC Viva Glam Gaga: A beautiful, light pink. I love this one because I find the cool undertone really bring out my blue eyes. AT first I didn't like it, I thought it was too light, but now that I'm paler it's just absolutely gorgeous.

Maybelline Color Sensational in Pink Me Up: I used to hate this one too ( shocker) lol. But as it grew older it became waxier. Now I know this probably mean it would be time to through it out but I can't bring myself to it. The color is gorgeous, it just makes anything instantly very polished. And it's weird texture make it stay on forever which is one of the things I look for the most in a lipstick since I hate having to reapply all the time.

BRIGHT SHADE:

Revlon Colorburst in Coral: This color is just amazing! It's a very orange-y red ( duh hence the name) that is very brightening. Looks great in the summer with tanned skin, but find it works in the winter too. I wear it alot when I go out. I just can't get enough of this color. 

GLOSS:

CHANEL Glossimer in 04: Now this is a bit of an extra one, I know gloss isn't a lipstick but I thought I would through in a special shoutout for this one. I don't know if I told you guys before but I do not like gloss. I just have a hard time with all the sticky-ness and non-long-lasting-ness. This one though was different! It is not sticky at all, it lasts a decent amount of time and the color is just so damn gorgeous! It's a kind of darker red color with hints of pink when it's on the lips. I just adore it!

Help anyone...?

Helloo,
I know I haven't posted in forever I was just in a very lazy mood and just felt like watching movies for the past month. So I have done. 
I am officially back now ( I know, I know, felt like you heard that before too?)
 But before I need your help. 
Something weird, and very annoying, has been happening to me concealer wise. 
Recently I have been noticing that whenever I wear concealer, my undereye area looks very cakey. I thought it was my concealer, but it did the same thing with an other one. I put hydrating eye cream day and night so I don't think its a matter of dehydration. 
Do any of you have any tip on how to fix that?
